One day, Mary and Martha sent Jesus a message π saying, "Jesus, please come quickly! Our brother Lazarus is very sick." π€ Jesus loved this family very much. He had often visited their home π‘ in the town of Bethany, where they would share meals π₯ together and talk.
But Jesus didn't go right away. He waited π°οΈ two more days before starting His journey. 𧳠By the time Jesus arrived in Bethany, Lazarus had been dead π΅ for four whole days. Many people were at Mary and Martha's house, trying to comfort them because they were so sad. π

When Martha heard Jesus was coming, she ran ππ»βοΈπ¨ out to meet Him on the road. "Lord," she said with tears π in her eyes, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died." But Martha still trusted Jesus. π€ She knew He was special and had power from God.
Then Mary came running ππ»βοΈ out too. When she saw Jesus, she fell at His feet ππΌβοΈ crying. πΏ When Jesus saw Mary, Martha, and all their friends crying, His heart felt sad π for them. He loved π₯° Lazarus so much that He began to cry π’ too.
Jesus asked, "Where have you laid him?" πͺ¦They took Jesus to the tomb. Jesus told the people to roll away the stone. πͺ¨ Martha was worried because Lazarus had been dead β οΈ for so long, but Jesus told her to trust Him and believe.

Then Jesus looked up to heaven and prayed π to God the Father. Then, in a very loud voice, He called π£ out, "Lazarus, come out!" Everyone waited quietly... and then... Lazarus came walking πΆ out of the tomb! πͺ¦ He was still wrapped in the cloth that had been used to bury him.
Jesus said, "Take off the grave clothes and let him go." People were hugging π€ and crying happy π tears. Everyone was amazed at Jesus's mighty power. This miracle showed that Jesus truly was God's Son and that He had power πͺ even over death itself.
